1. Acceptance and Scope
These Rider Terms & Conditions (the "Rider Terms") apply to all riders who use the GoNex platform to request transportation. The Rider Terms supplement — and are read together with — the GoNex Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, the GoNex Terms & Conditions control.
By creating a rider account or requesting a ride through GoNex, you agree to these Rider Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Rider Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete account information
- Keep your contact and payment information up to date
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify GoNex immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Use the platform only for your own trips and not allow unauthorized third parties to use your account
You must be at least 18 years of age to maintain a rider account. Minors may only travel on the platform when accompanied by an adult account holder.
3. Accurate Pickup and Drop-Off Information
You are responsible for entering accurate pickup and drop-off locations and for confirming trip details before each ride. This includes:
- Selecting the correct pickup address and any meeting-point instructions
- Entering a precise destination address
- Verifying the driver name, photo, vehicle make, model, and license plate before entering the vehicle
- Updating the destination through the app, not verbally, if it changes during the trip
GoNex is not responsible for additional charges, delays, or missed pickups caused by inaccurate trip information.
4. Payment Authorization
By requesting a ride, you authorize GoNex to charge the fare — including base fare, distance and time charges, applicable surge pricing, tolls, taxes, tips, and any other disclosed fees — to your selected payment method. Fare estimates shown before booking are estimates only; final amounts may vary based on actual trip distance, duration, route, and waiting time.
You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file. Failed payments may result in account suspension until the balance is resolved. Disputed charges must be raised through the GoNex app or by contacting support within thirty (30) days of the charge.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel a requested ride through the app. Cancellation fees may apply when:
- A ride is canceled after the driver has been matched and is en route for more than the cancellation grace period disclosed in the app
- The rider is not at the pickup location after the driver has waited the disclosed grace period
- A rider repeatedly cancels rides in a short time window
Refunds for completed trips may be issued at GoNex's discretion in cases such as documented service failures, incorrect fare calculation, or other circumstances reviewed by our support team. Refund decisions are final unless required otherwise by applicable law.
6. Rider Conduct Expectations
GoNex riders are expected to treat drivers and other users with respect at all times. You agree to:
- Be ready at the pickup location at the requested time
- Wear a seatbelt and follow all applicable traffic laws
- Keep the vehicle clean and free of damage during your trip
- Communicate respectfully with drivers and GoNex support
- Follow any reasonable safety instructions from the driver
Repeated low ratings, complaints from drivers, or violations of these expectations may result in account restrictions or termination.
7. Safety Guidelines
Your safety matters. GoNex strongly recommends the following practices on every trip:
- Confirm the driver, vehicle, and license plate match the details shown in the app before entering the vehicle
- Wait for your ride in a safe, well-lit location
- Wear a seatbelt for the entire trip
- Use the in-app trip-share feature to share your status with a trusted contact
- Keep valuables secured and check the vehicle for personal items before exiting
- Use the in-app emergency assistance feature or contact local emergency services if you feel unsafe
8. Prohibited Activities
Riders may not, while using the GoNex platform:
- Engage in any unlawful activity or violate any applicable law
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against any driver or other user
- Damage, vandalize, smoke in, or eat messy food inside a vehicle without driver permission
- Transport hazardous materials, weapons, or illegal items
- Consume alcohol or controlled substances in a vehicle
- Provide false information, impersonate another person, or use another rider's account
- Solicit personal contact information from a driver outside the platform
- Tamper with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or its systems
Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, and you may be held responsible for any damages caused.
9. Reporting Incidents and Disputes
If you experience a safety concern, lost item, fare dispute, or any incident during or after a trip, report it as soon as possible through the GoNex app or by contacting contact@gonex.tech. Provide the trip date, time, and as much detail as possible.
For emergencies, always contact local emergency services first. GoNex reviews every safety report and takes appropriate action, which may include investigation, driver deactivation, or coordination with law enforcement where required.
10. Liability Limitations
GoNex provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers. GoNex does not provide transportation services directly and is not a party to the transportation agreement between you and the driver.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoNex is not liable for the acts, omissions, or conduct of drivers, other riders, or third parties. The full limitation of liability and disclaimer provisions in the GoNex Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer apply to your use of the platform as a rider.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
GoNex may suspend or terminate your rider account at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Rider Terms or the GoNex Terms & Conditions
- Conduct that endangers drivers, riders, or others
- Fraudulent activity, chargebacks, or repeated payment failures
- Misuse of the platform, including abusive contact with support
- Inactivity over an extended period
You may close your rider account at any time by contacting support. Closure does not relieve outstanding payment obligations. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination — including payment, liability, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.
