GoNex Background Check Authorization

This Background Check Authorization explains how GoNex Technologies Inc. may request, collect, review, and process background check information, identity verification materials, driving-related records, provider documentation, and compliance information for independent drivers, providers, contractors, businesses, and platform participants who apply to access or use the GoNex Platform.
1. Purpose of Background Checks
GoNex may require background checks, identity verification, document review, or compliance screening to help maintain platform safety, operational integrity, fraud prevention, and user trust.
Background checks may be used to evaluate:
- Provider identity
- Driving eligibility where applicable
- Safety-related history
- Fraud prevention concerns
- Platform eligibility
- Compliance with applicable laws and platform policies
2. Authorization to Conduct Reviews
By applying to become a driver, provider, contractor, or platform participant, you authorize GoNex and its authorized third-party screening providers to conduct identity verification, document review, background checks, and compliance reviews where permitted by applicable law.
This authorization may include obtaining information from public records, government sources, verification providers, consumer reporting agencies, driving record sources, and other legally permitted sources.
3. Information That May Be Reviewed
GoNex or its authorized screening partners may review information including:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Government-issued identification
- Driver’s license information where applicable
- Driving history where applicable
- Criminal history where legally permitted
- Vehicle registration or ownership documents
- Insurance documentation
- Business or provider credentials
- Platform account information
- Fraud prevention signals
4. Third-Party Screening Providers
GoNex may use third-party vendors, verification services, consumer reporting agencies, background check companies, identity verification providers, or compliance service providers to assist with screening and review processes.
These third-party providers may collect, process, store, or report information according to their own legal obligations and privacy practices.
5. Ongoing Monitoring
GoNex may conduct periodic re-screening, document updates, account reviews, or ongoing monitoring where permitted by law and necessary for safety, compliance, fraud prevention, or operational integrity.
Ongoing review may include:
- Updated driving records
- Updated identity verification
- New safety reports
- Fraud or abuse investigations
- Expired document review
- Account activity review
6. Provider Responsibilities
Providers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information
- Submitting valid documents
- Keeping required documents updated
- Notifying GoNex of material changes
- Maintaining required licenses, permits, and insurance where applicable
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations
Providing false, misleading, incomplete, expired, or fraudulent documentation may result in denial, restriction, suspension, or removal from the Platform.
7. No Guarantee of Approval
Submission of background check authorization, documents, or verification information does not guarantee approval to access the GoNex Platform.
GoNex may approve, deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate access based on safety, compliance, fraud prevention, operational standards, legal requirements, or platform integrity considerations.
8. Use of Background Check Information
Information collected through background checks or verification reviews may be used for:
- Determining platform eligibility
- Maintaining safety standards
- Fraud prevention
- Compliance review
- Account monitoring
- Operational decision-making
- Legal or regulatory compliance
9. Adverse Action or Account Restriction
If information discovered during a background check, verification review, or compliance screening affects eligibility, GoNex may take action where permitted by law.
Actions may include:
- Requesting additional information
- Delaying onboarding approval
- Denying platform access
- Restricting platform features
- Suspending an account
- Removing platform access
Where legally required, additional notices, rights, or procedures may apply.
10. Accuracy & Disputes
Providers may be able to dispute inaccurate or incomplete background check information with the applicable screening provider or reporting agency where permitted by law.
GoNex may request supporting documentation before reconsidering eligibility or account decisions.
11. Data Privacy & Retention
GoNex may collect, use, store, and retain background check and verification information as described in the GoNex Privacy Policy and as required for safety, fraud prevention, compliance, legal obligations, and operational needs.
Retention periods may vary depending on applicable laws, operational needs, dispute resolution, and platform integrity requirements.
12. Consent Withdrawal
Providers may withdraw consent where permitted by law; however, withdrawal of authorization may affect eligibility to access or continue using the GoNex Platform.
Certain information may still be retained where required for legal, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.
13. Compliance With Laws
Background check requirements, screening procedures, notice requirements, and provider rights may vary by jurisdiction.
GoNex may modify screening procedures to comply with applicable federal, state, local, or international laws where required.
